TestFlight App Reviews

Same issue as above.

Im getting the same issue as the users above. I have TestFlight installed but when I click the link in the invitation, it takes me to the App Store page for TestFlight instead of opening in TestFlight itself.

Pointless

Clicking the link in the acceptance email merely opens the App Store. Unable to access any apps that this program is intended to test.

Unusable

Only supports iOS8?! Apple has made testflight unusable without support for previous versions. Great job Apple...

It doesnt work on iOS 8.1.3

Cant use it. I have iOS 8.1.3 installed. Whenever I click on the link in the email, it takes me to the AppStore and shows me the TestFlight App, which I already have installed.

Pointless ..

Same here, clicking an invitation email link just keeps opening the App Store, even after TestFlight has been installed. ???

Junk

Absolute junk. Having the same issues as everyone here

Key issues need to be fixed

As a product manager, its great to be able to easily test with 1,000 real-world members. However, there are currently a few very frustrating issues with this product. Hopefully listing them here helps other PMs, as it took me a while to get to the bottom of all of them. 1. The TestFlight email is triggered by adding members as external testers. Except the email does not actually send to everyone, and you have no idea whether it has or hasnt worked until you start hearing from tons of confused beta members. The only way I can find to re-trigger is to manually delete then re-add these members. And that doesnt always work. 2. TestFlight only shows your app in the list of apps to test if the email is opened and the button clicked using the native Apple email app. Using another email app results in an empty list - super confusing and hard to troubleshoot. Took me forever to realize this. Would be nice to at least know this upfront. 3. As many have mentioned - iOS 8 only testing just isnt realistic. 4. I really wish I could have multiple builds for internal testing all available at the same time. This really changes our testing process and we will be finding an alternative for this reason alone. Hopefully this sort of feedback is addressed in the short term as I really am excited about having an external beta group so easily built into the process.

TestFlight was once the best

It was beautiful. A few clicks and everyone can try out your app. Now it takes forever to setup. After hours, I still haven’t met all the requirements. I might as well go Ad-Hoc.

**FIX** App Store LOOP

iPhone users: if youre getting the App Store loop happening, you have to open the TestFlight link through the iPhone Mail app. Weird bug..

Cannot Install on Test Devices

This is not useful for testing prerelease software because it does not install on the full range of iPhones and iPads. TestFlight currently only works on the latest models and iOS versions.

Very confusing for users

In addition to other already reported problems another glitch: when installing update the progress is always stopped at about 90 % though it already finished download and installation process.

Simple if youve used test flight before

I cant say Im sure why everyone is going so negative, if you have an email from a company that set it up properly the app should show up in your test flight (remember you have to use your correct email). Remember apps sometimes go down and get replaced so you might need a new invitation, this happened for a company I used to work for and needed to test.

Works Fine!

Works as intended. You need an invite from a company to beta test an app. Youre getting App Store Loops because you havent been confirmed as a beta tester for a program you think you have access to.

Very buggy - keeps saying service currently unavailable

App is very buggy - keeps saying service is unavailable - no acknowledgement of issue, nor any indication of when it might get fixed..

App doesnt work

Only shows "TestFlight is temporarily unavailable" all the time

"Could not install this app at this time"

This thing has been un-usable for me. I am a developer, paid $120 for my license, tried different profile certificates, tried to build with different versions of Xcode (betas, official versions), built different versions of my game over the last 4 months, and I have NEVER been able to install it. It continues to say "Could not install this app at this time".

Invite Codes Expire after less than a week

Received an invitation to test a developers app the same week I attempted to redeem it. No where in the emails did it list an expiration time for redeeming the code, and yet no more than 2 days after receiving the invite it is expired. What good is the ability to beta test anything on Apples iOS platform if the tests expire before anyone gets a chance to use them? Ill be writing a nice length blog post and review of this process to discourage developers from using the TestFlight app.

Would not accept my code.

Poor

Not sure if it actually works

It asks for you to click to accept the terms and conditions, but theres no where to click. Will hold on for a couple more days, then Ill be deleting this app.

文字化け!

日本語をITCで入力したら、このアプリで「?」しかでません。 Also please fix the long waiting time after uploading a build. And this had better work with a CI SYSTEM.
